We stopped in on our way up north after seeing the parade of billboards. I struggled between a 4 and 1 star rating due to some ups and downs. The place is nice for where it is. The meal started with some beers they have a great list of half-n-half beers with Guinness. I opted for the Rock Mountain High which was mixed with Coors Light. And mixed is a literal word. The beer was not layered at all just poured together. The waitress suggested the cheese curds; they were pretty solid however they are not worth the 45 minute wait and I don't mean it was 20 and seemed like 45 it was seriously 45 minutes for deep fried cheese. I went for their fish fry platter it came with three choices of fish. The walleye was, as expected, great! I ventured out and tried the blackened catfish which was right on point. My third choice derailed with the Ahi Tuna. It was very slimy and stringy and honestly tasted old. (Side note Tuna is my favorite sushi and fish) My date went with the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. The fires were solid the sandwich was about 60% breading absolutely minimal chicken on the sandwich. The waitress did ask how everything was and I voiced my opinion of the Tuna and chicken sandwich which is where it all turned. The manager came over and basically told me I didn't know what Ahi Tuna was "sir, it's ahi tuna which means it's sushi grade and is supposed to be cold" yes ma'am I know I ordered it extra rare this isn't my first rodeo. After she straight up insulted me we payed what was left of the bill (more than it should have been) and left. I am all for second chances but this place will not get one. Bonus, it shares a parking lot with White Castle, go there instead and you'll probably get better treatment.
